Fetish Evolution Weekend in Essen is a party that I’ve always wanted to attend, and my first experience certainly didn’t disappoint. The Bredeney hotel welcomes devoted hedonists from all around the world to immerse themselves in their fetish during a four day retreat each year over the Easter long weekend.
The event this year saw the inauguration of the International Fetish Awards. I was bestowed the honour of representing both Skin Two and LateXtra magazine as part of a jury including Jean Bardot and Eric Paradis from Montreal Fetish Weekend, who were to judge twenty beauties vying for the award of Fetish Model of the year.
The judging took place on Saturday night at the Nuit Bizarre dinner and party. We enjoyed a delicious meal as each model was announced individually for a meet and greet and we were more than impressed by the effort they had made. It was a difficult time choosing our favourites.
After dinner the dance floor was lit up by an amazing group of shiny fetishists shimmying up to one another well on into the night.
Sunday morning meant a hearty breakfast at the Fetish Brunch before it was time to go and check out the High Gloss Fashion and Art Expo. Two floors of the Bredeney Hotel were devoted to designers from all over the globe showcasing their amazing wares. The lower floor hosted the Art Bizarre exhibition of fetish art including photography, illustration and sculpture.
Sunday afternoon was spent out in the beer garden where a parade of amazing fetishists dressed in all sorts, from head to toe black rubber to not very much at all, kept us entertained while we relaxed in the sun.
Fast forward to the evening and we arrive at The Ball held at the Delta club, a revamped old factory with more nooks and crannies than you can poke a stick. On the main stage a spectacular fashion show including Inner Sanctum, Vengeance Designs and Bondinage with Paul Nathan and Jean Bardot taking the MC’ing duties.
In the middle of this the winners of International Fetish Awards were announced, with Honey Hair, Onna Sakura and SugarFairy taking out the 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, well deserved indeed.!
The outfits that night were second to none. An amazing crowd who had dressed to the nines and beyond filled the rooms in all shapes and sizes and colours, from the two main dance floors, to rooms filled with play equipment and a VIP area offering a chocolate fountain and champagne..!!
I walked out to see the sun coming up and headed back to the Bredeney for some well earned rest before the infamous pool party, where yours truly slipped and dipped in head-to-toe rubber for a few hours…
Until next Easter… when we will do it all over again…. Thank you Fetish Evolution, a new memory etched in my mind…!
